Bribes
One significant advantage of L2X is its ability to facilitate the bootstrapping or enhancement of liquidity for protocols in a highly efficient and user-friendly manner. This is achieved through the utilization of bribes. L2X supports two types of bribes: voter bribes and LP bribes.
Voter bribes involve direct payments to veL2X holders on a pro-rata basis. By attaching voter bribes to pools, voters are incentivized to vote for these pools as it increases their voting annual percentage rate (APR). Consequently, this allocation of L2X emissions benefits the selected pools.
Bribers seeking to directly enhance liquidity for any whitelisted token can do so by utilizing direct LP bribes. For instance, if Protocol Y aims to deepen liquidity in the Y/wETH token pair but desires LPs to earn Y tokens directly, the protocol can achieve this objective by creating LP bribes specifically for token Y.
